What are the Conference Workshops?

Workshops are optional hands on training sessions - upgraded learning experiences - with a maximum seating of 20 attendees per session.

As with all of the technical sessions at Scaling New Heights, workshops provide in-depth training. For most workshops it is the nature of the training is the distinction - not the depth of content.

Why Do Workshops Have Limited Seating?

In our experience, hands on training is most effective in small group learning environments because each attendee's data entry must remain synchronize with the rest of the class for everyone to benefit from the workshop.

The limited seating is one way to keep all attendees synchronized. Also, each workshop has an instructor and a lab assistant - creating a 1:10 instructor to attendee ratio.

Why Do You Charge Extra for Workshops?

The main reason: workshops are much more costly to operate because of the hands on learning environment and the 1:10 instructor to attendee ratio. The additional charge offsets these additional operational costs.

Also, many people find hands-on training to be the most effective way to learn - especially with in-depth technical curriculums - creating an upgrade to your learning experience during the conference.

Can I Register for More Than One Workshop?

Yes - though workshops listed on the same day run concurrently.

After I Register for a Workshop Can I Change My Workshop Choices?

Yes. You can cancel your workshop registration through February 28, 2013.

Through June 1, 2013 you can also transfer to another workshop or add a workshop to your registration - provided space is available. Due to limited seating, workshops usually sell out early.

Tip: To maximize your options you can register for multiple workshops now and, if you prefer, make changes later.
